Meet Deise (Daisy) Rezende

Daisy Rezende is a nationally certified radon measurement provider, lead paint inspector, and mold investigator dedicated to helping clients breathe easier—literally.

As co-owner of Smart Home Radon and Smart Home Inspects, Daisy brings certified expertise to every inspection, ensuring compliance with Maryland laws and ANSI/AARST standards for radon testing and mitigation system evaluations.

A passionate advocate for healthy housing and indoor air quality, Daisy serves as the President of the Maryland Chapter of the Indoor Environments Association (IEA). She is also a voting member of the Radon Mitigation Standards Consortium, where she contributes to shaping the standards that guide the industry nationwide.

In addition to her field work and policy efforts, Daisy is the producer of the IEA's official podcast, The Indoor Environments Project—bringing expert voices and practical insights to professionals across the country.

While her professional life revolves around environmental health, Daisy is also knee-deep in learning all things AI—sometimes successfully, often hilariously, but always with curiosity. Whether she's fine-tuning a QA plan or launching a new outreach campaign, Daisy's mission remains the same: to improve air quality, educate the public, and support professionals doing the same.
